As a vulnerable population, the challenges faced by seniors are readily apparent. All too often, obtaining equitable services, ensuring personal safety or just having a voice in getting their wants and needs fulfilled can be a test.

During my time with the provincial government, I had the opportunity to work with such departments as Consumer and Business Services, the Seniors Secretariat and Victims of Crime.

MY JOURNEY
Over the course of a twenty year career in Communications, I had the opportunity to work in the public, private and for not-for profit sectors. Regardless of the industry, what individuals consistently faced was an inability to listen effectively and speak clearly.

As a Communicator, I often found myself as a non-partisan third party, helping to find resolution between competing areas that couldn’t see eye to eye.
​
Serving with the Canadian Forces for a number of years, here too I helped settle disputes between individuals who couldn’t see the merits of differing perspectives.
​
In 2019, I switched gears formally taking up mediation as a profession. I sat on the board of Community Conflict Resolution Services of Halton and am currently a rostered mediator where I help members of the public resolve their disputes.
​
Living in Halton Region with my wife and family for the last 18 years, I am pleased to offer a mediation practice to serve the community.
